About Chicago House:

Chicago House was founded in 1985 as the first community-based organization in the Midwest to address the urgent need of housing for people living with HIV/AIDS. Today Chicago House is Chicago's largest source of housing to those who are HIV/AIDS affected, housing over 70 adults and 30 children annually. Chicago House couples housing with social services and a continuum of care through its three housing programs: Supportive Living Program, Family Support Program, and Independent Living Program. Each of these programs works to help clients reach their highest possible level of health, self-sufficiency, and wholeness. Chicago House operates four homes: One in Edgewater and West Town, and two in Uptown. In addition, Chicago House serves over 150 clients/year through community-based care management, providing the support needs for those living independently to remain in their own homes.
